Angel Watching OverDecember 2007 - To celebrate the Christmas holiday, the teachers and children of Heritage House Childcare & Learning Center (155 Prather Avenue, Jamestown) took the opportunity to perform for not only their families, but also for the residents of Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing.

On December 5th, Heritage House teachers and children traveled across the street to Heritage Park to sing songs and perform for the residents in the facility’s Great Room.  On December 11th, they returned to Heritage Park to perform for their families, complete with costumes and a reading of the Christmas story.  At the conclusion of the event, refreshments were shared and each child received a children’s book entitled The Christmas Story.

The refreshments, costumes, and books were made possible by a “Dare to Dream” grant from For Kids Only.  For Kids Only is a non-profit Christian organization which seeks to fund programs with specific faith-based components geared towards “at risk” children ages 0 to 12 and which serve as a model in their local community.  In addition to the annual Christmas program, the grant also provided funds for copies of The Easter Story children’s book and costumes for an annual Easter program.

Heritage House Childcare & Learning Center provides comprehensive childcare services to children ages six weeks to five years.  To learn more, contact Heritage House at (716) 488-4500.
