July 2008 - On Saturday, August 2, Heritage Ministries is sponsoring the Third Annual “Faith Night” as the Jamestown Jammers take on the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at 7:05 p.m.  The highlight of the afternoon and evening will be the return appearance of Kent Bottenfield, popular Contemporary Christian Music artist and former Major League All Star Pitcher, who will perform in concert starting at 5:15 p.m.

“We are very excited to bring Kent Bottenfield back to Diethrick Park and offer this wonderful event to the families of our community,” explains David Smeltzer, Executive Director for Heritage Ministries.  “We had record attendance at last year’s Faith Night, so we are looking forward to another great night of music, food, and exciting professional baseball with the Jamestown Jammers.”

Faith Night will begin at 3:30 p.m. with an Area Pastors’ 3-inning softball game on the softball field just outside Diethrick Park featuring pastors from Chautauqua Region churches.  At 4:30 p.m., the gates will open for a special Pre-Game Ballpark Buffet in “The Bullpen” (right field).  Those attending the game can purchase an all-you-can-eat buffet ticket ($11 children and $13 adult).  These prices include a Reserved Grandstand Ticket for the baseball game and exclusive access to the Kent Bottenfield Concert in The Bullpen.  Pre-sale tickets for this event are strongly encouraged and available now by calling the Jammers at (716) 664-0915 or stopping by the Diethrick Park Ticket Office.

At 5:15 p.m., Kent will take to the stage in “The Bullpen” for a pre-game live concert to perform a variety of his four Top-20 songs on the Christian Radio Weekly (CRW) inspirational music charts.
