The giving of charitable gifts is an important tradition for many people. There are several unique ways you can help both The Heritage Group meet its current ministry objectives and build toward the organization's promising future. One type of gift that is commonly given is the current gift. This is a gift given in the present, usually in response to a particular campaign or for a specific reason. Presently, The Heritage Group is running several campaigns for various ministry projects. If you are interested in giving toward a specific project, here are examples of our current needs:
If you find interest in one of the above mentioned projects, you have two options to make a lasting gift to The Heritage Group. One way is to please make a check payable to "The Heritage Group" and note the project you are funding in the memo section of the check. You may also choose to make an online donation and designation using our online giving web site. Please click here to make your gift online using your Checking or Savings account, or MasterCard or VISA credit card. It's convenient and easy to use! Donations can be mailed to the Office of Development at the contact information provided below. Additional information on each of the above projects can be provided by calling (716) 487-6874. Yet another common type of current gift is one given in honor or in memory of a loved one. Gifts of this sort provide The Heritage Group with needed assistance, while also creating a wonderful testament to the honored individual. If you are interested in making a gift of this type, please make your check payable to "The Heritage Group" and send your donation to the Office of Development. In addition to current gifts, The Heritage Group also offers assistance in the creation of planned gifts. Planned Giving is the making of gifts to a charitable organization (current or deferred), resulting from a deliberate process that considers the effect of the gift upon the donor's estate. This type of giving typically consists of deffered gifts, those donations made through one's estate plans. To accomplish your goals in this area, The Heritage Group works closely with the estate and gift planning professionals of The Free Methodist Foundation. Planned giving can involve several different forms of deferred gifts, the most common methods including:
Gifts made through a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust provide you with tax advantages and an income for life for yourself or for someone you stipulate. By using the gift calculator, you can find out exactly the type of benefit you would receive. Whether current or deferred, every donation to The Heritage Group is tax deductible. These gifts help us continue to reach greater numbers of people through our human service ministries. For more information on all types of giving, please contact: Office of Development |
