While the concentration of physical therapy is on regaining mobility and walking, occupational therapy focuses more on regaining the ability to perform activities associated with everyday living. This may include dressing, brushing teeth and hair, and even the ability to engage in basic decision-making. All of these skills are important to not only helping someone return to their home, but also making it so they are able to remain there for an extended period of time. Rehabilitation, the Heritage way is geared toward the individual resident. Physical, occupational, and speech therapists meet regularly to plan and discuss each resident's particular needs and future goals. The resident and his or her family and loved ones are also actively involved in this process, remaining aware of the restorative techniques and anticipated outcomes. Rehabilitation: The Heritage Way

At The Heritage Group, traditional long-term care is a thing of the past. Our skilled nursing facilities are no longer solely places where individuals spend their last years, but instead, caring, supportive environments that help active adults return to their homes.
