Heritage Ministries is a not-for-profit organization which manages and operates human service ministries in Chautauqua County. Headquartered in Jamestown, NY, Heritage Ministries directly serves over 600 residents on a daily basis through the following human service ministries:

The Gerry Homes (d.b.a. The Heritage Group) which was founded in 1886 in Gerry, New York, by Bishop Walter A. Sellew as The Orphanage & Home of The Free Methodist Church. Bishop Sellew felt a calling from God to serve disadvantaged youths and seniors. While the original orphanage closed in the early 1960s, our commitment to seniors and children has never wavered.
Today, Heritage Village Retirement Campus serves as Chautauqua County’s premier provider of independent and assisted living housing and services for retirees. Located off Route 60 in Gerry, Heritage Village provides a full array of affordable options to enhance active, retirement lifestyles. Through continuing care, Heritage Village also provides peace of mind about the future. With maintenance-free cottage and apartment options, Heritage Village embraces you within a secure environment where you know and love your neighbors!
Those same great services will soon be available to retirees at a second location in Chautauqua County. In 2011 Heritage Ministries embarked on their newest independent and assisted living options at The Woodlands Senior Living Community (West Ellicott, NY). Set to open soon, Orchard Grove Residencies at the Woodlands will offer three, twelve resident "small house" model Assisted Living Program facilities. Independent single family and one or two bedroom homes will be available at the Woolands Senior Living Community location.
As the largest provider of rehabilitation & skilled nursing services in Chautauqua County, Heritage Ministries offers three convenient locations. Each of these facilities provides compassionate skilled nursing and comprehensive rehabilitative care.
In 1971, Heritage Village Rehab & Skilled Nursing accomplished the vision of offering a full continuum of care at Heritage Village in Gerry, New York. Since that time, Heritage Village has been recognized among the finest skilled nursing facilities in New York State.
Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing (Jamestown, NY) and Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing (Greenhurst, NY) officially became members of the Heritage Ministries family on January 1, 1995.
