The YMCA Heritage House Child Care Center, located at 155 Prather Avenue in Jamestown, serves children from infant to school age including infants (6 weeks to 18 months), toddlers (18 months to 2 years), and Preschool (3-5 years). The staff is made up of certified teachers and well-trained assistants who are committed to providing an atmosphere of exploration and discovery for every child.
YMCA Heritage House provides UPK services through a relationship with the Jamestown Public School District. The children enrolled in the YMCA Heritage House UPK program are enrolled as students at Jamestown Public Schools. Because of this relationship, YMCA Heritage House also offers wrap-around care for those families with children enrolled in the JPS/UPK program (before and/or after UPK). Additional childcare is also available during school recess and holidays. The Jamestown UPK program at YMCA Heritage House is a child centered, developmentally appropriate program for Jamestown School District children who will be four years of age by December 1. UPK teachers are New York State certified and each classroom offers a teacher assistant. UPK meets five days per week and follows the Jamestown School District calendar. In addition, children are provided with a nutritious meal or snack.
