Announcing our new Chief Financial Officer

Lisa Haglund, President and CEO of Heritage Ministries, announced that Paul DeSantis, CPA, of Bemus Point, NY, has been named Chief Financial Officer of the organization. 

DeSantis comes to Heritage with a qualified background including nearly two decades in healthcare and financial management, most recently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at a large healthcare institution in Western New York State. In his role as Chief Financial Officer at Heritage, he will be responsible for the oversight of all financial operations at Heritage and its affiliates, nationwide. 

Haglund shared, “We welcome Paul’s expertise as we look to the future, knowing that he will work alongside our dedicated teams to support the Heritage mission. His extensive experience in not-for-profit and healthcare financial management will help Heritage to maintain a strong and healthy future as we work each day to promote Hope, Dignity, and Purposeful Living to all those entrusted to our care.”

DeSantis obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Gannon University, and his Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from St. Joseph’s College/Kennedy Western University. DeSantis is exceptionally involved in his local community and has been a member of several boards of directors, including health care organizations, area school boards, financial institutions, foundations, Chautauqua County Health Network, Great Lakes Health Network, and the Community Blood Bank. He is also a Little League baseball coach and Junior Olympic wrestling coach.

DeSantis, who currently resides in Bemus Point with his family, shared that he is drawn to the mission of caring and compassion Heritage is known for, along with the organization’s team-oriented culture and commitment to excellence, and is excited to join the organization, stating, “I look forward to serving the work of Heritage with integrity and dedication, supporting the mission by providing strong financial leadership and management.”
