Lisa Haglund, President and CEO of Heritage Ministries, announced that Rebecca LeBaron has been named Area Director of Senior Housing for the organization.
LeBaron, a resident of Sinclairville, New York, is a graduate of Jamestown Community College, and possesses more than 25 years of experience in the senior living industry. She began her career with Heritage in 1992, while still in high school, as a nurse helper. Throughout her tenure, LeBaron has progressed throughout the organization, while continuing to follow her passion to serve seniors. In 2010 she was promoted to the role of Administrator of The Homestead, a Heritage senior living community in Gerry, NY, which provides assisted and independent living options, and in 2013, added oversight of The Woodlands, a Heritage senior independent living community in West
Ellicott, NY.
LeBaron is a member of the LeadingAge New York Assisted Living cabinet, where she works to advocate for seniors throughout New York State, and a 2015 graduate of the LeadingAge New York Leadership program. She also serves as a member of the Heritage COVID-19 corporate team.
LeBaron shared, “Heritage has always been a part of my life and has presented me opportunities to grow personally and professionally in ways I never thought possible. These opportunities have truly helped me to unlock my potential as a leader and create change no matter what role I have had. Everyday there are new experiences and blessings that I enjoy due to the relationships I have with our residents, their families and Heritage team members. I can honestly say, my life is better because of the many, many residents I have known through the years- I have learned so much from them and continue to learn! I look forward to the added responsibilities of my new role to help cultivate growth in others and assist them in recognizing their own potential as leaders.”
In her new role as Area Director of Senior Housing, LeBaron will be responsible for supporting the Chief Operations Officer, Jennifer Whitten, in leading Heritage Senior Housing Executive Directors and Administrators in managing the operations at each community, and will work to ensure employee and resident culture is established and upheld. She will serve as a mentor to senior assisted and independent living administrators, empowering Heritage leaders to grow as they work to provide award-winning experiences.
Haglund shared, “We are so excited to welcome Becky into this new position. With her extensive experience in senior living, and her long history with Heritage, she is uniquely qualified to serve our staff, residents, and their families. We look forward to the future, knowing that Becky will lead throughout our communities with compassion and integrity. Her commitment to Heritage will ensure our teams continue to embrace our commitment to serve our greatest generation, and live our mission to promote Hope, Dignity, and Purposeful Living to all those entrusted to our care.”
