Heritage Recognized as “Best of the Best”

The Post-Journal of Jamestown, NY recently awarded Heritage the Favorite Assisted Living and Favorite Senior Housing awards in their “Best of The Best” Reader’s Choice Awards.

Lisa Haglund, Heritage President and CEO, expressed her gratitude for the award on behalf of Heritage and its staff. “This recognition truly is a result of the hard work our staff continues to do daily as they promote Hope, Dignity, and Purposeful Living to all those entrusted to our care. The work they do each day is heroic, but especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, they have worked tirelessly. During this difficult, and often stressful time, they and their families have sacrificed so that our residents can continue to receive the same compassionate care Heritage has always been known for. We thank them for their dedication and service to our seniors.”

Faith Bender, a Heritage housekeeping supervisor, expressed how exciting this recognition was for all Heritage employees, “Receiving recognition for doing our job is a surprise but also an honor, as it gives us an added boost to keep on doing what we can for our residents.”

Rebecca LeBaron, Administrator at The Homestead, agreed with Haglund, and shared in her accolades of the Heritage staff, “I am so excited Heritage has been recognized for the work that is done each and every day. We work hard to make sure our residents are taken care of, but more importantly, they know they are loved! To many of us, our jobs are so much more than just “a job”; its who we are, and what we do. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have tirelessly tried to make things “normal” or at least enjoyable, every day for both our staff and our residents. Congratulations to all and a thank you to the staff who made this happen! It is because of you and their dedication that Heritage has received this award – we are Heritage!
