The hallways at Heritage Park were transformed into a runway of pure joy and colorful imagination as staff and residents teamed up for an unforgettable Halloween parade. Laughter echoed from room to room as costumed duos showed off weeks of clever planning, spirited creativity, and playful camaraderie.
Stepping straight out of the 1950s, Christina and Marcia turned heads in matching “Pink Ladies” satin jackets, complete with bubblegum-pink wigs, polka-dot scarves, and matching black-rimmed glasses. Rolling down the corridor with classic rock-and-roll flair, the dynamic pair proved that vintage style never goes out of season.
Around the corner, Jin and Barb brought a dash of outlaw adventure to the festivities. Decked out in bold prison stripes with braided pigtails, Jin played the mischievous sidekick to Barb, who proudly rocked a wide-brimmed cowboy hat, sunflower tee, and an oversized colorful toy blaster resting playfully across her lap—ready to keep the peace or start a giggle across the unit.
The parade kept sweetening up as Renee and Maureen took teamwork to delicious heights. Teaming up as the ultimate campfire treat, the duo became a life-sized s’more—one wearing a golden toasted marshmallow and the other sporting a decadent chocolate bar between two plush graham crackers. Their wearable recipe for fun brought smiles to everyone along the parade route.
Adding a burst of vibrant color, Nika and Nancy channeled pure festive enchantment. Nancy cast a cozy spell in her pointed witch hat accented with bright purple and orange, while Nika brought extra flair in a fuzzy, hot-pink cowgirl hat, laughing with neighbors as they made their way through the celebration.
Bringing garden-fresh humor to the crowd, Sherry and Sabrina brought a playful farm duo to life. Sabrina stole the show in a full-length, bright orange carrot suit complete with leafy green stems, joined by Sherry, who looked ready for the harvest in her straw cowgirl hat, cozy white wrap, and red bandana.
From sweet treats and wild west showdowns to retro diners and garden favorites, the parade was more than just a celebration of costumes. It was a celebration of friendship, community, and the deep bonds that make Heritage Park such a spirited place to call home.
