From the Heart of Frontline Care: Eric Chapman’s Journey of Growth and Family at Heritage Green

True dedication in healthcare is measured by the quiet, daily commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. It is found in the individuals who show up shift after shift with a passion for service. Since 2017, Eric Chapman has been the embodiment of that dedication at Heritage Green, building a career rooted in perseverance, heart, and continuous growth.

A Foundation Built on Frontline Dedication

Eric’s journey with Heritage began in 2017 when he joined the Heritage team. From the very beginning, he threw himself into the vital work of direct resident care, serving as a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Navigating the demanding rhythms of healthcare, Eric proved his versatility and resilience by anchoring frontline teams across both the first and second shifts. For Eric, these years were about mastering his craft, building deep connections, and showing up for the residents who needed him most.

Finding a Profession—and a Family

What kept Eric grounded through the challenges of long-term care was the unique, supportive environment he found within the facility walls.

“Working with Heritage is like working with Family,” Eric shares. “I have gotten close to my co-workers, many of which I have worked with for years”.

This profound sense of community turned colleagues into lifelong friends and transformed the workplace into a second home. Beyond the camaraderie, Heritage gave Eric a meaningful outlet to fulfill a deeply personal mission: serving the senior population right within his own community. His work is fueled by an unmistakable heart for people, ensuring local seniors receive care characterized by dignity and warmth.

Empowered to Reach the Next Level: Graduating as an LPN

Perseverance is about never standing still, and Eric’s story at Heritage is a brilliant example of professional evolution. Recognizing his incredible work ethic and desire to excel, Heritage became his biggest cheerleader when he decided to advance his clinical skills.

Heritage proudly provided Eric with the opportunity to further his education, backing his ambitions every step of the way. Balancing the demands of his shifts with rigorous coursework, Eric put in the hard work and successfully graduated from the BOCES LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Program.

Reflecting on this milestone and the transition from CNA to LPN, Eric notes that the organization has supported him through every challenge and triumph. Eric Chapman’s trajectory proves that when you combine an individual’s resilience and heart with an organization that champions growth, the results are transformative. He represents the very best of the Heritage mission: a dedicated professional growing in capability, moving forward with his team, and continuing to serve his community with pride.
