VISITATION

We sympathize with our residents and their families for the many state-mandated regulations, including NYS requirements for visitation at skilled nursing and assisted living communities Heritage is required by the state to follow these regulations.

Many skilled nursing and assisted living communities in New York State continue to struggle under current state guidelines and restrictions around family visitation. We are encouraging resident family members to advocate with us for a more reasonable, thoughtful approach to reopening visitation.

If you’re able to help with this advocacy effort, we invite you to use the visitation letter template on our website  to be sent to New York State. Join us in advocating for reasonable visitation policies so that you can see your loved one more often and connect through in-person visitation. You can find the letter here.

You can find the most recent visitation policies and fact sheets on our website’s COVID page here. They’ll always be highlighted at the top of the page and are available to download.

Heritage is required to follow all state-mandated regulations including those surrounding visitation. If you would like to come alongside Heritage and advocate for our residents and staff, you can find ways to become involved here.
